Removal of eye cysts

Removal of eye cysts is a surgical procedure aimed at treating and alleviating symptoms associated with benign fluid-filled sacs that can form on various parts of the eye, such as the conjunctiva or eyelid.

Eye cysts, including chalazia and conjunctival cysts, can cause discomfort, swelling, redness, and, in some cases, vision problems if they press against the cornea. The removal process typically involves a minor surgical procedure performed under local anaesthesia, where the cyst is carefully excised or drained to relieve symptoms and prevent recurrence. In many cases, the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis with minimal recovery time. Early intervention is crucial for effective treatment, reducing the risk of complications and improving overall eye health and comfort.
