Cosmetic (Oculoplastics)

Oculoplastics, or oculoplastic surgery, is a specialised branch of ophthalmology focused on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the eyelids, orbit (eye socket), tear ducts, and surrounding facial structures.

This field encompasses a wide range of procedures, from cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to reconstructive surgeries for conditions such as droopy eyelids (ptosis), eyelid tumours, tear duct obstructions, and orbital fractures. Oculoplastic surgeons are highly trained to perform delicate surgeries that enhance both the function and appearance of the eyes and surrounding areas. Whether addressing medical issues or achieving aesthetic goals, oculoplastics plays a vital role in maintaining eye health and facial harmony.
