LASIK
LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a popular and effective refractive eye surgery designed to correct vision problems such as near-sightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism.
During the LASIK procedure, a precise laser is used to reshape the cornea, the eye's outermost layer, to improve how light is focused onto the retina, resulting in clearer vision. The surgery involves creating a thin flap in the corneal surface, reshaping the underlying corneal tissue with an excimer laser, and then repositioning the flap. LASIK is known for its quick recovery time, minimal discomfort, and high success rate, often reducing or eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses. It is a highly sought-after option for those seeking long-term vision correction with a fast return to daily activities.
