Cataracts

Cataracts are a common eye condition where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, leading to blurred vision, difficulty seeing at night, and sensitivity to light.

This condition typically develops as part of the natural aging process, though it can also result from injury, certain medications, or other medical conditions. Cataracts can significantly impair vision, making everyday tasks challenging. Treatment for cataracts involves a surgical procedure where the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear, artificial intraocular lens (IOL), restoring clear vision. Cataract surgery is one of the most common and successful procedures worldwide, offering a safe and effective solution for those suffering from vision loss due to cataracts.
