At OCL Vision, we are at the forefront of innovative eye care, now offering EndoArt®

Aa cutting-edge synthetic corneal transplant.

This advanced procedure represents a significant leap forward for individuals suffering from corneal endothelial failure, including those with Fuchs' dystrophy, glaucoma or ICE syndrome. EndoArt®, is an alternative to conventional human tissue transplant surgery which overcomes issue of cell failure and rejection in high risk eyes where previous transplants have failed or recurrently rejected.

What is EndoArt®?

EndoArt® is a revolutionary synthetic corneal transplant designed for the treatment of corneal endothelial dysfunction.

Developed by EyeYon Medical, this thin (50 micrometer) and flexible artificial endothelial layer is used to replace the damaged endothelial cells in the cornea.

Unlike traditional transplants, EndoArt® does not rely on human donor tissue, eliminating the risk of tissue rejection and cell failure which can occur in complex eyes.

Consultation & Treatment Plan

During your initial consultation, we will discuss your condition and treatment options in detail. This includes explaining potential risks and benefits, helping you make an informed decision about iris implant surgery. Photographs of your eyes will be taken to create a custom-matched artificial iris. The manufacturing process typically takes 6-8 weeks.

Procedure

The Procedure

The iris implant is introduced through a small incision in the eye. This can be done as a standalone procedure or combined with cataract or lens fixation surgery. The implant is carefully positioned to restore the normal appearance and function of your iris.
