Anti-Wrinkle Injections: treatment applications and cost

As we age, muscles and skin can lose their elasticity, leading to fine lines and wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle injections work by weakening the muscles treated, and softening lines and wrinkles to give the skin a smoother appearance.

Treatment process

Anti-wrinkle injections typically cause minimal discomfort, with the option to numb the area with a local anaesthetic cream beforehand. The effects are not immediate, taking a few days to start working and reaching their maximum effect within two weeks. Results generally last 3 to 4 months, with effects lasting up to 6 months with repeated treatments.

Treatment precautions & aftercare

On the Day of Treatment:

• Avoid alcohol, aspirin-containing drugs, and Vitamin E
• Refrain from strenuous exercise

6 Hours Post-Treatment:

• Stay upright and avoid bending over or lying down
• Do not apply face creams or make-up

7 Days Post-Treatment:

• Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area
• Refrain from facial treatments or scalp massages
• Avoid intense heat or cold exposure
