What do we get for £250?

We cover all elements of a thorough eye examination and the fee includes all the scans using our up-to-date technology, ensuring that we pick up all conditions including silent conditions such as glaucoma.

Our optometrists are specialists in their field and work closely with the consultant eye surgeons so have quick and simple access to second opinions where needed.

As part of a multi-speciality clinic, you get the advantage of having further treatments all under one roof with consultants having access to your notes where needed.

Do you sell glasses if I need them?

As part of your eye examination, you will get a copy of your sight test results. We can recommend opticians for you to get glasses made should you need them.

Do you do contact lenses?

We do not offer a contact lens service at OCL Vision.

How often should I get my eyes checked?

We generally recommend that you get your eyes checked every year. This is to ensure that they remain in the best condition and you maintain your level of vision. It is also necessary so we can pick up any diseases, such as glaucoma, at an early stage to prevent any vision loss.

It is useful for you to make sure that any vision queries are answered by our clinical optometrists.

I’ve been told I have dry eyes – who can I see?

This is a very common problem amongst a lot of people now and have a dedicated clinic just for patients suffering from symptoms that you are describing. We offer various treatments for dry eyes and will customise the treatment based on your eyes.

This thorough 1-hour consultation includes a full workup and systematic approach to diagnosing your condition and finding the root cause of your symptoms. From this, the optometrist will offer advice and recommendations for helping your symptoms. Where needed they will create a tailor-made treatment plan to target the cause of your problems. This may include a Blephex or ZEST treatment or IPL where needed.  Our optometrists are all specialist trained, and where needed some of them can also prescribe medication, where needed, to help with the symptoms of your dry eyes.
